The Skype Translator feature that was recently added to Skype for Windows can now handle speech-to-speech translation of Brazilian Portuguese. This is the seventh language that Skype Translator supports for speech-to-speech, along with Chinese Mandarin, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Microsoft said:
With Brazilian Portuguese as one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, today's news is yet another step in Skype's mission to help people connect through conversation simply and easily, regardless of where you are in the world, and what language you speak.
In addition to the seven spoken language translations, Skype on the desktop can also translate the words of 50 languages via text chat.
